Woman commits suicide at former MLA's house in Satna district (Social media)
National News: A heartbreaking incident came to light from Satna district in Madhya Pradesh, where a 24-year-old woman reportedly died by suicide. The woman used a licensed pistol to shoot herself at the house of Congress leader and former MLA Neelanshu Chaturvedi.
The young woman, identified as Suman Nishad, had been working at Chaturvedi’s house in Chitrakoot along with her mother for several years. The pistol she used was legally owned and registered under the name of Chaturvedi’s wife.
According to police, Suman was engaged to be married soon. Investigators revealed that she had been regularly speaking to someone over the phone, and this was reportedly causing concern to her mother.
On Tuesday, the house was shaken by the sound of a gunshot. People present in the house rushed to the room and immediately took her to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
After receiving information, senior police officials and a forensic team arrived at the location. They examined the scene, collected evidence, and began a detailed probe.
Although it appears to be a suicide, police officials are looking into all possible angles to determine the reason behind the drastic step.
Speaking on the matter, Chaturvedi said, "She had been working at our house for years. She knew everything about the house, including where items were kept. The pistol used is licensed. Police are doing their job and investigating the matter thoroughly."
